The workshop included previous knowledge I have already gained from A Level photography which included basic ways of changing the camera into manual mode and changing the aperture and shutter speed for the surroundings. It was also important to set a custom white balance because of the studio lights. It was interesting to see how the lights which included flash worked from the studios downstairs and I think it will be useful in the future now I know we have access to the equipment. We mainly worked with continuous lighting with two lights which when experimenting with can create more or less shadow/ contrasts. We didn't have many options of items to photograph and only had a black backdrop, this particular item would have looked better with a white backdrop.
