This piece of packaging is computer generated however its origin is that of hand painted signs which I have previously looked at in locations such as Howarth, Yorkshire. The use of two colours and textures definitely remind the audience of the seaside and the usual types of signage they have there. The use of uppercase and serif also link to the use of signage as these are usually painted in uppercase to highlight the name of the brand/shop.
