These are my designs from my initial sketches simply transferred to be created on illustrator:
Critique:
Nice use of type, makes me think about the subject in more depth.
the question makes it even more shocking. good choice of colours- keep with red.
could use blue instead of black- blue is the ocean
would look better if you warped the text to fit the shark (text & image)
Pure text and image is very strong and clear, however iI feel your text & image poster doesn't have the same impact.
Really interesting concept- for soup type works well but be considered rather cliché. You need to use more facts and statistics. - look into info graphics, minimalistic looks good though.
You could twist the idea by putting a shark into a recipe book.
I like the typeface and the use of blood, I think it would be a good idea to include statistics and facts, maybe create an info graphics diagram.
Remove the shark outline on the image & text poster.. this would work well for just text.
Blood font is cliche in my opinion.
Text in the shark is too busy. The fin in the bowl is effective. try using other colours.
Stay away from the blood cliché's- info graphics of shark work.
Red is a good use of colour.
I like the scale of your work- Not a lot of people have chosen landscape but this suits well.
Minimalist approach is the way to go, but you need to distinguish between blood and soup on the image poster.
For soup is very good- but try to think of other lines.
Like the idea of breaking down the shark with type- try removing the outline.
Like both colours- make your text and image poster more like a shark.
