From looking at my critique I will use these two designs to put into a 2:1 ratio for print, this is because they seemed to gain the most positive feedback in terms of their impact.
However after reading my feedback I found that my text and image poster seemed to gain the most negative attention because they didn't feel it was as "high impact" as my other two designs. There were a few comments on how I could use info graphics, however from looking at conservation campaigns the least successful ones seem to be info graphics, this is because to communicate a "high impact" message as stated in the brief there needs to be an element of shock or a challenge of ideologies based on ignorance. Therefore I have disregarded the need for creating info graphics and concentrated on using facts as requested but into the silhouette.
Firstly I experimented with these two images on the use of colour by changing some of the typography into red and white because from the crit I understood and accepted that the message wasn't clear. However I feel because the message in my image and text only poster is highlighted in red that this poster should also follow this pattern to keep continuity.
I tried highlighting the most important words "consumption" and "ignorance" in red, however I think "shark fin soup" should also be highlighted to make the message of the poster clear.
I found that out of all the development designs that these two (bottom two) worked best because they conveyed the message I wanted to show. However I realised that using three colours (including grey) was not allowed in the brief, even though I feel this design is successful unfortunately I am unable to use it. Therefore I am going to change the words "consumption, ignorance" and the phrase "shark fin soup" into red typography within the shark. I am also going to change the scale to fit the 2:1 ratio of the brief, this will make my image larger and create a greater impact.
