First double page spread.
I began taking the font and looking at the layout of the type itself including point size, for this smaller quote a larger point size works best.
I then began thinking about imagery which could work with the quotes and initially began drawing a brain within a person because my concept is to change peoples minds about their confidence and improve it somewhat. I thought that a better idea would be to put a think bubble inside the person where the brain would normally sit.
I also thought about adding little characters into the book (influenced from looking at comics) however I feel this would definitely not work as it appears too childish.
I began introducing colour into the page layouts and thought that the use of black with one colour could work quite well, but from the previous post I have a broad range of different colours which could work- this will be something I will ask at interim crit stage.
After creating this page I will tweak it a little for the interim crit as I have seem some grammatical errors.
Second Double Page:
I played around with the layout of this quite a lot including the use of colour but thought that somehow the contrast of colour and black/white works quite well- I will ask for feedback on this at the interim crit.
Third Double Page:
I began drawing and looking at the idea of a bin in terms of persistence because I often find that I go through many different ideas until I find something Im somewhat happy with- this is something which I think is quite relatable and somewhat humorous for art/ design students.
I wasn't completely happy with the composition of the image so I played around with the idea of the paper waste bin spilling over.

Quotes and ideas for front cover:
I really struggled with the idea of incorporating different colours into the front cover (based on the colours I've used within the pages) so therefore I played around with different ideas. However I found that I really liked the combination of yellow and purple and it definitely stands out as being something different.
