"First, the title of the page must include relevant information about the page. "
"There are META tags. These HTML tags can really distinguish your site from the rest of the pile. The META tags that most search engines read are the description and keywords tags. Within the description tags, you should type a brief description of the Web page. It should be similar but more detailed than the title. Within the keywords tags, you should list 5-20 words that relate to the content of the page. Using META tags can significantly boost your search engine ranking. So what happens when a bunch of sites all have similar titles, content, and META tags? Well, most search engines choose to list the most popular sites first."
SEO includes on the page elements such as the content itself, html and the structure of the website (see above). But also includes off page elements such as links to other sites, trust from the viewer, social networks.
Website content quality: useful and information information which is condensed into smaller paragraphs and therefore easier to read than scrolling through pages of information. Provides a quick brief guide to the fundamentals of horse care simply covering the basic amounts of necessary knowledge. Keywords used within the website include simple words which are used within horse yards such as: horse care, stable management, bridle and saddle, grooming kit, turning out (long list of keywords within body copy).
Each of the pages have their own unique headers which are: grooming, livery, diet, saddlery, stable and costs. I have tried to keep the content which is text based as text including headers rather than saving them as images this ensures that the website can be more easily searched online. I have also tried to simplify the language used and make the body copy easily understood so instead of using "equine" people are more likely to search "horse" online. In terms of social networks and making my website more useful and relevant to introducing people to correct horse care it would be suitable to email the charities back who were interested in my work and asking them for feedback on the designs, but there is also the possibility that from word of mouth- or shares that my website could be linked to other people and perhaps eventually lead to being shared on Facebook pages and twitter.
Typed into google search "horse care for beginners"

The "authority" checker reviews a websites impact on its SEO capabilities online.
Redwings:
HAPPA:
The SEO and authority of these websites is quite low, this is mainly impacted because they are small charities and therefore have a smaller audience. However from simply typing in "horse care" and removing for beginners it shows many other options:
World horse welfare:
Horse & Hound:
RSPCA:
You can see simply from the figures of total authority that world horse welfare and RSPCA have a larger impact on the internet mainly because they are a larger charity but they will also have the funds to make their designs more successful and to allow more people to view their content, therefore the teams will focus on the SEO of the website as well as the necessary content and design.
To improve the SEO of my website I need to include a small description of each of the pages and also in the tags at the top of the page. Example:
When designing a website is definitely worthwhile to consider the SEO of the website along with the audiences needs and what the website wants to say. My website for this brief is heavily based on its context and copy along with images, therefore I have included keywords in all of the paragraphs and headers which means that the website will be able to be found if I were to launch it. If I am to complete further briefs for web design it is vital to think about this factor even when completing mock ups and collecting necessary content. For my website it is important that people could search information from the individual pages and find what they need to know quickly. From the user experience chart I created:
I realised that it is important for people to be able to simply search "grooming kit" and this would bring up my website. I also have changed "equine" to "horse" because I have found not many ordinary people use the term equine, instead most yard use horse/pony/donkey. For my website to work effectively live I would need to ensure that the charities I previously spoke to would be interested in looking at my content, therefore if people find the content useful and relevant they will eventually share it. I have also made my website somewhat visually different to usual content based on animal care, so hopefully this would work in my favour.
