OUGD504: Brief 2- Branding Proposal

Love Craft Brewing Company is a newly formed and unique upcoming Brewery, which have the potential to excel in their local area and perhaps beyond through their innovating and creative products. Love Craft are located in Kitsap County, Washington and have over seven years working experience as a couple in a variety of high quality Breweries. 

They specialise in creating unique beers and barley wine's which draw inspiration from France and Belgium, which combine traditional elements of the craft of brewing along with the progressive and forward thinking spirit of Love Craft's creativity. Their young and quirky personalities shine through in their products that they create with unusual combinations of ingredients at a high quality. Love Craft Brewery strive to never make a foul tasting beer and commit to create, experiment and perfect their products. 

Love Craft have plans in the future for creating a larger Brewery with a beautiful tasting room; this will amplify their high energy and create aura and brand experience. They also wish to complete exciting collaborations with other local Breweries to create innovative and create ideas for beers and possible festivals. They want to push their company further by getting their own products into local bars, restaurants and also bottles into supermarkets. 

 The area is always appreciative of new beers, and the market is steadily growing with more companies and Breweries. The use of an outstanding brand strategy will help make a Love Craft brewery stands out with both the taste of their products and friendly atmosphere.

The brands target audience and customers would be specifically local people in the Kitsap area they are from who are over the age of 21 (legal age in the US to drink alcoholic beverages) but also people of all genders. They would also be primarily of a younger age as the couple appeal to those of a similar age, the use of innovative flavours and exciting social prospects would appeal to young professionals with a larger disposable income. As a brand they would appeal to women as well as men as the beer making industry is seen as quite masculine Love Craft want to welcome all genders and new creative ideas into their forward thinking company. 

They would stand out from the other Breweries within the area because their products are entirely different, whereas most of the other breweries focus on creating tradition beers Love Craft pursue new recipes with ingredients which are fairly and locally sourced along with incredible flavour combinations from staff as well as the owners themselves. Love Craft want to create a friendly atmosphere by involving the community in events such as meetings to discuss new ideas as well as involving new members who want to try ales. 


The use of a beautiful logo as part of the branding would incorporate their whole creative and friendly atmosphere; as well as their innovative and exceptional recipes. The use of a black and white logo would create artwork that could be displayed in all different contexts and platforms, which are both digital and print. 

They want to create small batches of their products, this would allow them to create many recipes and I think a colour coding system for each beer could work quite well as they have longer names. The logo and overall design aesthetic I've been working on could also transfer to a website and also social networks to further push their idea of participation within a social environment and welcome new people to their Brewery. However the logo could also be shown on merchandise of the brand such as t-shirts, bags and other options if they chose to expand their brand to other mediums.
