OUGD404: Type Journal

http://www.playgroundparis.com/typography

This type is quite 'child like' through its thick line weight and it looking similar to hand writing, the lines used on the outside of the type also give it a feel of energy/excitement along with the use of the word 'playful'.

This deign studio also shows a wide range of different fonts/ typographic examples:

This example shows silicone/digital type as it resembles the word "jelly" and therefore the type isn't consistent to be used across a font, it was created just simply for this purpose and to not follow typical typographic principles. The type seems to 'wobble' much like jelly and is a highly unique form of type.

The type shown here also is created through a digital format, this is due to the change in colour/ shading onto the letterforms, but also through how they look quite three dimensional. They are also quite rounded and somewhat resemble hand writing which it could be based on. However the type is far too curvy to be created with anything other than silicone/ digital format.

This type has also clearly been created using a digital format due to the amount of layering which has taken place. In its original format it is a sans serif font, however due to the mass amount of editing and removal of the centre of the letterforms, this has been created by digital means.
