OUGD404: Type Journal


The font at the top of the page looks much like it was influenced by the origins of Sable (brush). The strokes are unfinished and the thickness of the stroke is the same due to using a larger brush which doesn't have the ability to vary line weight which the origin of bone allows for. The thickness of the line definitely shows a handwritten and informal feel however due to new technology this affect could have been created onto a graphic's tablet to allow for commercial printing. 


Examples of sable font's which connect the idea of the brush to development of script fonts.
