This type's origin reminds me either that of wood block type or stencil due to its textured colour. The simplistic sans serif font could also be that of wood block type (uppercase). It definitely appears to seem hand rendered even though it is digitally produced, this may also be because the type is used for an alternative music poster so therefore they don't want the type to seem too clean cut and smooth.
